Plumb Moves to the City: Chapter 7

Picture
"I still can't believe how cool you were back there!" Salak had been singing Plumb's praises the entire way to the studio. Plumb smiled and said, "I still think you are giving me too much credit. It was very likely that I could have made the whole thing blow up in our faces. And who knows it still might."
"You really don't have to be the company's representative, you know? We can always find a different sponsor."
"I'll manage somehow as long as you help me."
"Of course, I'll help you. If it wasn't for my blabbing you wouldn't be in this mess," Salak said once again and was on the verge of restarting the conversation for the fourth time, but stepping into the studio meant there were other conversations that needed to be had, "Welcome back to the studio."
"I wasn't much in this studio but thank you. I definitely was not expected to be back so soon. What are the boys working on now?"
"How about you ask us yourself?" Said an accented voice from behind them.
"Okay, what are you up to, boy?" Plumb said as she turned with a smile. The 'boy' ruffled Plumb's curly hair as he said, "That is not what you call someone many years your senior."
"And that's not how you treat a lady's hair, Rawbe Plumb said as she batted his hand away, "Are the rest of the boys-"
Plumb was interrupted by someone crashing into her with a back-hug. She might have fallen over if Rawbe hadn't held her steady.
"Plumb! I missed you so much! How could you leave us like that?"
"Hi Mela, you know it's only been a couple of months, right?"
  "A couple of boring months!"
"Mela, get off of her. She clear is injured." Rawbe commanded. Mela looked down at Plumb's foot then immediately jumped back and shouted, "How did you do that?"
"Car accident." Said every voice in the room besides Plumb.
"Come on, guys. I'm not that prone to car accidents."
Mela sighed. Salak smiled sarcastically. Rawbe shook his head with disapproval.
"Anyways," Plumb quickly changed the subject, "Where are Oran, Wain, and Aiko?"
"Trying to do a photoshoot together." Mela said with a sigh, "It's always so hard to take pictures with Aiko. He manages to always make everyone else look awful. It's driving the photographer nuts."
"Oh, so that's why he's always has solo shots. Most people on the internet think it's because you guys don't like him or that the company is trying to push him to be the popular one." Plumb laughed.
"Okay, boys. I am sure you two have work to get do-" Salak was also interrupted by boys crashing in. This time to both her and Plumb. Once again, Rawbe, with the help of mela this time, had to stable her.
"Salak! Did your meaning go well? Where did you come from Plumb?" "Plumb, are you taken care of my Salak again?" "If it isn't my two favorite girls of all time." Oran, Wain, and Aiko said at the same time. Salak was wondering to herself since when was she Oran's Salak. She could have sworn she was someone else's already.
"You lot are just as bad as Mela. Get off of her!" Rawbe snapped.
"Huh?! Plumb! What happened?!" Oran asked.
"Car accident." Said every voice in the room yet again.
