1/16/2026 0 Comments Plumb Goes Abroad: Chapter 1 Plumb had to admit that her high school life was a bit strange, but that was over and done with now. Now, she was graduated. She was an adult now, or at least, she would be in a few months. The question now was what to do with her summer. She wanted to get a job, but that was proving to be harder than she realized.
"That's because you take Sugar with you everywhere." Plumb's mother remarked when she noticed her daughter had received another rejection email, "Most people don't want a snake in their business." "But it was a zoo." Plumb protested and Sugar wrapped herself tighter around Plumb's waist, "I thought for sure they would be okay with it. Plus, the animals seemed like they liked me." "A zoo can't have animals roaming around the place. I think you need to make that snake stay in a tank just like the rest of her kind." "Sugar has never been in a tank before. I don't think she'd like it." Sugar hissed in both agreement and as a means of threat. "Don't you threaten me, snake. I'll fry you up faster than you can say-" Plumb's mother was interrupted by a knock on the door, "Don't you think this conversation is over. I'll be putting you straight." She opened the door and was delighted to find one of her many sisters, "Yu! What are you doing here girl? Oh, and you brought your baby girl. How you doing, girly?" "How's it been, Tea?" Tea answered as she nudged her daughter forward a bit, "Say hello, Salak." "Hello, Aunty." Salak managed to squeak out. "Hello, my dear, I hope you are doing alright. Now, you two get in here, have something to eat, and tell me what you want." Just like Missus Tea had predicted her sister wanted something, but she wanted to bring it up till the girls were busy doing whatever it was that young women do now to speak. "Salak is a cutie, but she's shier than a shadow." Yu said with a sigh, "She's talented with makeup, but if she can't get near someone, how is she going to put it on them? I decided it was time I did something rash." "Story of your life." "Right back at you. I'm going to take her with me as FS makeup artist. I know if it's for me, she'll do here best." "I agree." "But I don't want to throw her completely into the deep in. At least, not without a spotter." "I don't think you are matching the right terms there." "Swimmers have spotters too." "Do they?" "They must." "Let's get back to your point. Which you've have yet to make." "I want to borrow your daughter over the summer." "For what?" "Salak always does much better when Plumb's around. Plus, Plumb is also great at makeup." "All our kids are thanks to Ai." "My girl is not going to follow in her footsteps." "My girl surprises me every day, so she might. I mean apparently she's working with a boy band now." "Thank you, sis. You always were the cool one." "This still hinges on Plumb's opinion though. She might not want to work backstage." "Oh, and I probably should mention that we will be working overseas." "The more reason for her to go. Plumb!" "Yes, mama?" Plumb stuck her head out of her room where she and Salak were dressing Sugar up. "You're still looking for a job, right?" Her mother asked while eyeing her Yu, "Cause I found you a well-paying job." Yu shook her head and laughed a little before saying, "That's right, hun. You want to travel the world working for me?" "Sounds like fun, but..." Plumb adjusted her glasses, "Only if Sugar can come."

1/15/2026 0 Comments Plumb Moves to the City: Chapter 7 "I still can't believe how cool you were back there!" Salak had been singing Plumb's praises the entire way to the studio. Plumb smiled and said, "I still think you are giving me too much credit. It was very likely that I could have made the whole thing blow up in our faces. And who knows it still might."
"You really don't have to be the company's representative, you know? We can always find a different sponsor." "I'll manage somehow as long as you help me." "Of course, I'll help you. If it wasn't for my blabbing you wouldn't be in this mess," Salak said once again and was on the verge of restarting the conversation for the fourth time, but stepping into the studio meant there were other conversations that needed to be had, "Welcome back to the studio." "I wasn't much in this studio but thank you. I definitely was not expected to be back so soon. What are the boys working on now?" "How about you ask us yourself?" Said an accented voice from behind them. "Okay, what are you up to, boy?" Plumb said as she turned with a smile. The 'boy' ruffled Plumb's curly hair as he said, "That is not what you call someone many years your senior." "And that's not how you treat a lady's hair, Rawbe Plumb said as she batted his hand away, "Are the rest of the boys-" Plumb was interrupted by someone crashing into her with a back-hug. She might have fallen over if Rawbe hadn't held her steady. "Plumb! I missed you so much! How could you leave us like that?" "Hi Mela, you know it's only been a couple of months, right?" "A couple of boring months!" "Mela, get off of her. She clear is injured." Rawbe commanded. Mela looked down at Plumb's foot then immediately jumped back and shouted, "How did you do that?" "Car accident." Said every voice in the room besides Plumb. "Come on, guys. I'm not that prone to car accidents." Mela sighed. Salak smiled sarcastically. Rawbe shook his head with disapproval. "Anyways," Plumb quickly changed the subject, "Where are Oran, Wain, and Aiko?" "Trying to do a photoshoot together." Mela said with a sigh, "It's always so hard to take pictures with Aiko. He manages to always make everyone else look awful. It's driving the photographer nuts." "Oh, so that's why he's always has solo shots. Most people on the internet think it's because you guys don't like him or that the company is trying to push him to be the popular one." Plumb laughed. "Okay, boys. I am sure you two have work to get do-" Salak was also interrupted by boys crashing in. This time to both her and Plumb. Once again, Rawbe, with the help of mela this time, had to stable her. "Salak! Did your meaning go well? Where did you come from Plumb?" "Plumb, are you taken care of my Salak again?" "If it isn't my two favorite girls of all time." Oran, Wain, and Aiko said at the same time. Salak was wondering to herself since when was she Oran's Salak. She could have sworn she was someone else's already. "You lot are just as bad as Mela. Get off of her!" Rawbe snapped. "Huh?! Plumb! What happened?!" Oran asked. "Car accident." Said every voice in the room yet again. 1/14/2026 0 Comments Plumb Moves to the City: Chapter 6 “Well? You wanted a seat, did you not?” Mr. Yuno said as he gestured to the chair he had just pulled slightly out, "Then take a seat."
"We will," Plumb said after she had gotten over the slight shock, "Thank you." The two girls sat down in the fancy office seats then Mr. Yuno pushed the seats back in as if he were a gentleman this whole time. Plumb wasn't certain how she left about the sudden change, but Salak knew she hated it. She was even more confused now than the start. "So you want me to be transparent with you about this company's intentions. Is that correct?" His voice and his face were still cold but less threateningly so, "Very well. We reached out to your company by mistake. An employee of mine thought that he might get on my good side by contracting with a musician I enjoy. Somehow, he came to believe that your company is associated with said musician, but he quickly discovered that wasn't the case. However, according to his testimony..." Plumb couldn't help but think that was an odd word choice. Unless he interrogated the man. For some reason, she wouldn't put that past him. "...he decided he was going to honor the agreement despite the mistake. However, your company was hard to pin down, and despite his best efforts your company kept canceling meetings and giving outrageous demands. He had said that you came here today with your list of demands, so," Mr. Yuno leaned back in his chair, "now I have two conflicting stories. Which of them should I believe I wonder?" "I am certain we can provide proof of our story with our email history," Plumb eyed and she confirmed the possibility, "If you find that to be necessary, but may I ask when he told you this information?" "This very morning. He was supposed to have this meeting you, but he was quite suddenly needed elsewhere." "I see." Plumb said beginning to understand what might have happened. "Yes," Mr. Yuno said then he sat back up, "Now after knowing this. Does your company still want to work with mine?" Plumb looked at Salak who was nervously looking back at her. Plumb offered a smile. After a moment, Salak returned it then looked at Mr. Yuno. "If your company is interested then so are we, but we would like to be assigned a new representative." Salak said as confidently as she could. "We are interested, but we have our own requirement." He paused then looked directly at Plumb, "All future communications between our two companies shall be done through you." "I am new to the company, sir. I am sure there are others more capable. Are you certain this is your requirement?" "I am." Once again, the two girls looked at each other. Salak was sorry she had put Plumb in this position and was willing to let the sponsorship fall through if Plumb didn't want to do it. Plumb wasn't sure if she was qualified to take on the job, but she didn't want Salak's first sponsorship to fall through. "Very well." She answered. "Then we will also agree to your terms." Mr. Yuno got to his feet and extended his hand to Salak first. She shook it as she said, "Thank you, sir." "We hope it will be a pleasure doing business with you." Plumb said when it was he turn to shake his hand. The three returned to their seats as Mr. Yuno said, "Now shall we talk business?" Salak nodded. Closed her eyes. Remembered her script and successfully delivered her speech. 1/13/2026 0 Comments Plumb Moves to the City: Chapter 5 "I'm sorry mother is putting you through this again.” Salak said when she came to pick Plumb up, “I'm really not as bad as I used to be. It's just I'm doing a more producer-director-ish role now, and sometimes I get nervous.”
“I'm happy to help. It was a lot of fun last time. When do you switch to being a producer-director-ish person?” “Oh, I'm still doing makeup, but…” Salak sighed, “I'm not going to let go of that yet, I don't think I'm ready for it. Plus, I would hate to waste what dear Aunty Ai taught me.” “You've been using the skills she taught you for years. I would hardly say that's a waste. Plus, that's why she taught all of us.” “One of you is bond to follow my footsteps.” The cousins quoted together. “Still…” Salak continued, “giving up on makeup sounds scary.” Plumb was starting to understand why her aunt had called. Salak was a nervous girl by nature, and she often doubted herself despite her skills and talents. It had been hard to convince her to try being a makeup artist in the first place, so it made sense why she clung to it so intensely. However, Plumb was sure that she had been promoted to this position for a reason. “I get that, but who knows? You might enjoy it.” Plumb said not wanting to try to persuade her before she saw her in action, “Now, who is this Mr. Yuno person we have to meet?” She asked as she flipped through the paperwork. “A potential sponsor.” “Ah, well, hopefully, it goes well.” *** “You have two minutes.” Was the first thing Mr. Yuno said when the two girls walked in. “Oh, um…you see… my company…not MY company but…well it really is the band.” S stumbled over herself over and over again. She had practiced the speech so many times, but the time limit was new and so was the firm face before her. Both girls had expected an older gentleman but instead they got this scary person. Plumb knew that this was going to be very bad for her dear cousin. Plus, she was getting upset. She had to intervene. “I'm sorry. I hate to interrupt, but this is just so blatantly unprofessional that I feel the need to speak.” “Indeed.” Mr. Yuno began, but before he could continue Plumb spoke. “I was referring to you, Mr. Yuno.” Plumb didn't hesitate even a little when his face managed to get colder, “Firstly, when we made this appointment, we were given the allotted time from 9:00 to 9:30, yet now it has been reduced to two minutes. Secondly, we came here today as a good show. This company has already failed to meet appointments with us three times. We were told it was because it was hard for this company to travel to us, so we came to you instead, yet we are practically being rushed out the door after just arriving. Lastly, this maybe more of a personal issue, but I am clearly injured, yet you haven't offered me a chair. This goes beyond business. This is simply a disregard of common courtesy. It is becoming abundantly clear that this company has no respect for our time, our company, or us. If this company does not wish to work with us, then please be transparent about it.” Plumb didn't regret her words even when the tension in the room was palatable. Salak was both impressed and mortified. Her cousin's boldness would never not be a marvel. Mr. Yuno got up from his chair at what seemed like a very slow and menacing pace to Salak. She seriously considered apologizing, but everything Plumb had said was true, so it didn't seem right. However, she did find herself shrinking back when he walked around his desk. Afterall, it was Plumb who started the fight. Surely, she could finish it herself. 1/12/2026 0 Comments Plumb Moves to the City: Chapter 4 Officer Hart had wanted to take Plumb home when she was discharged, but her new friend had already claimed that privilege. She honestly didn't care who took her home as long as she got home. Life was going to be better now that she was home and could relax for a minute.
"Oh, Plumb you don't know how happy I am to hear you are in the city! I really need your help!" Her aunt said on the other end of the phone. "Sorry, aunty, but I just got into an accident, and I'm not really mobile." "Oh, yes, I was talking to your mom about that. She said that you have a little scooter thing right? You are basically still mobile right?" "Um, well, yes, I do have a scooter thing." "Plumb, it's Salak. She's relapsing to her shy days again. I need her to work, but she can't do it by herself. She needs her support cousin. You just have to be there with her. I will pay you, and I can pay you well too! I really need your help on this. Please, Plumb." Plumb sighed. This was not going to be a relaxing recovering. 1/10/2026 0 Comments Plumb Moves to the City: Chapter 3 Officer Hart had left in such a huff that it made his quick return even more awkward than when two people say goodbye before finding themselves leaving in the same direction.
"I got all the way to my bike before I realized I didn't actually get the report I needed." He said as he tapped his pen on his notepad, "I understand you do not wish to press charges, but that isn't actually what I'm here for. There's been a lot of accidents in that area, and they want us to carefully log all of them to see what we can do to help reduce them. Like crosswalk placing, traffic signs, and all that..." He sighed before looking up at her, "I'm sorry I snapped at you just now. It wasn't very professional of me, and it wasn't cool." "Well, I must say it wasn't exactly professional," Plumb smiled and the tension in the room began to melt away, "but I don't mind you snapping at me as long as you let me snap back, or at least, give me some time to ask you to explain yourself." Moya stared at Plumb wondering if it was really possible for a person to not change as much as the person has not changed before him. Almost every conversation the two had had consistent of him getting mad at her and either her returning the emotion or calmly asking him why he said what he had. She never liked to get mad at him unless she knew what to get mad about exactly. It was irritating to him how everything was so much the same. "What did you mean I 'don't deserve this'? Because it sounds like I don't deserve people being nice to me, and that's not very nice, and I'll have no choice but to get upset with you." She adjusted her glasses. "Oh, um," Moya laughed, "Yeah, that's not what I meant. I meant you deserve better than to have people literally run you over and get away with it. You're just too easily taken advantage of." "I resent that." "Doesn't make it less true." "I'll have you know that most of the people who hit have paid for my medical bills, and the ones who did not didn't know that they hit me, so there." "What about the people who you take the fall for? They don't offer to make it up to you. Now do they?" "There has only ever been one person I've taken the fall for, and if he would like to make it up to me, he can do that anytime. I assure you that the statute of limitations is not up on that." "Then maybe you should give him your number, so he can contact you and apologize properly while he's not on the clock." "He has my number already." "No, he doesn't." "Yes, he does." "No, he doesn't." "How do you know?" "If I had your number, I would have called you a long time ago." ... "Oh," Plumb adjusted her glasses again, "I suppose I took the fall twice then." She laughed, "I forgot about that. Probably because it really wasn't that big of a deal. I think any friend would have done the same." "That's why it was a big deal. At least, it was to me because...we weren't friends." "No, I suppose we weren't," She said quietly. Although it was him who stated it first hearing her agree didn't sit well with him. Perhaps, he had hope she'd insist they were. That would make it easier for them to be friends now after all. "However, back then I considered us future friends. That's about the same thing don't you think?" She said as she once again gave him her small smile/laugh that was perhaps the most powerful weapon he had come into contact with. He did not want to agree with her. If anything, this proves his point of her being a push over, but that accursed face of hers. "Plumb," he shook his head, "I would still like to make it up to you sometime when I'm not on the clock if you don't mind." "Sure, why not, but only on the condition we have moved on from being future friends." "Sure, why not?" "Cool, now what was my number again?" She said as she reached for her phone, "Oh, and Officer Hart. The accident took place of 2nd and Nun street at around 3pm." Moya was confused for a moment before he laughed again. He had once again forgotten about his job. Truly, she was far too powerful for her own good. Plumb stared at the white ceiling above her. She had expected to be looking at her apartment's beige ceiling, but for the last month she had been staring at this white one. It could be worse. She could have enrolled in the fall semester and be missing class right now. Thank goodness for spring enrollment.
"How are you doing today?" The nurse walked in and made small talk while she did her routine. Plumb was as pleasant as ever despite the pain in her leg. The medication helped of course, but since she had refused the 'strong stuff,' it made her more than just a little uncomfortable. "Oh, it looks like you are scheduled to have two visitors today." "Two?" Plumb asked. She knew she would have one. The girl who had hit her with her car had visited Plumb every day since the accident. She was a sweet girl who apologized endlessly for hitting her. Apparently, it had been the girl's first time driving when she absolutely nailed Plumb. As a result, she swore two things. No driving and to make it up to Plumb. If Plumb had to be hit by anyone, she was glad it was her. The girl turned out to have a lot in common with Plumb and the two became fast friends, but who was the second visitor? "It appears to be an officer." "An officer?" Plumb was suddenly worried about her new friend. "That's what it says here, an Officer Hart." Hart? That named sounded familiar somehow. Well, whomever this Officer Hart person was she needed to seriously downplay the severity of her accident for the sake of her friend. Of course, her being stuck in a hospital for a month would be working against her, but she had to try. She tried to imagine questions and rehearse answers the entire morning until a knock pulled her back into reality. "Come in." Plumb said as she sat up and tried to make herself look as presentable as possible in a hospital gown. Officer Hart walked in. He was younger than she was expecting him to be. Perhaps, because all the officers she knew were on the verge of retirement. It wasn't really his youth that surprised her. It was his familiar face. She felt like she knew him or perhaps she knew a relative of his. "Good afternoon, mam." He said as he glanced down at her leg, "You got pretty banged up this time, huh? I mean, it's not the first time you've been hit by a car, but I don't remember a hospital visit last time." "Last time?" Plumb remembered the last time she got hit by a car, and she did indeed had a hospital visit but it was brief. Perhaps, he was confusing her with someone else. "Yeah, but you were so small then that you hit under the car." "Um," Plumb looked puzzled which left Officer Hart feeling awkward. It was his turn to start doubting if she was the same Plumb he knew, but he was fairly certain he would never mix up his Plumb with anyone else. Then she perked up and said, "Oh, I remember now! Back when I was six! Sorry, that confused me for a bit. That was the first time I got hit by a car not the last." She laughed as if she didn't come near death's door on a daily bases, "but, Officer, how did you know that? Do we know each other?" "I thought you might not remember me," He said as he awkwardly ruffled his hair, "It was a really long time ago." "Well, maybe if you told me your name..." Plumb said with a smile towards the man who attempted to fix the mess he just made on his head. "Yeah, that would probably help." He straighten out and extended his hand, "Hello, my name is Officer Moya Hart, but you can call me Moya." "Moya? Moya! You have a sister named Cheri, right?" Plumb asked as she sat up more and took his hand. "Yes, that is me." "I thought you looked familiar. It has been a long time, hasn't? I've haven't seen you since you moved. Oh, how long ago was that now. Hmmm..." "About ten years." "How have you been?" Plumb asked, and he answered in the usual polite way. She could tell he was a very polite young man which was a far cry from the obnoxious little boy she knew. The Hart family had moved in when she was about six years old. She was watching them move in when she got in her very first car accident. Rather a truck accident. Luckily, she had only got a little scratched up because she had managed to fall to the floor before it hit her. It was, of course, terrifying. So much so that she just laid there in the middle of the rode stunned. That's when she met Moya for the first time. He dropped the box he was supposed to be helping carry and ran to the street. He didn't ask if she was okay. Rather he thought it was best to convey his concern through a serious of insults all relating back to the fact she was a dummy. Regardless, she had been grateful to him because he helped her get out of the rode. This left her with the impression that he was a nice boy deep down, and this first impression was the only reason she did not grow to hate him. He was a bully. He got into fights at school; pulled pranks on his sister and her when she dared to come over; repeatedly let her know that she was an ugly little dummy, and would steal her glasses. Overall, not a very nice kid. Looking at him now, made her believe yet again her first impression was right. "I should probably do my job now before I get yelled at." He said as he pulled out his notebook, "May I ask you some questions about the accident?" Plumb became stiff again as she remembered that anxiety she was meant to be feeling. "Of course, Officer." "Where did the acc-" "It was all my fault. I didn't look both ways, and I'm pretty sure I was jaywalking, so I'm not going to press charges or anything." Plumb discovered that she really wasn't great at keeping calm in stressful situations. He stared at her for a few moments then did something between a laugh and a scoff. "I take it the driver is a friend of yours?" Plumb gave a puzzled look while trying not to be too suspicious. "I'll take that as a 'yes.'" He sighed and shoved his hat back on, "You haven't changed a bit, have you? Still taking the blame for crap you didn't even do." "It really wasn't her fault." "..." He looked at her from under his hat before turning to leave, "Most people don't deserve you helping them like that, and.." He paused by the door, "you don't deserve this either." Plumb had always enjoyed her life in the suburbs, but if one wanted to get enrolled at Rockets University, one needed to move to the city. It was going to be hard working and being a student, but that's what most people do, and if most people could do it. Plumb certainly could. The city wasn't going to be an entirely knew experience for her. After all, she had spent the summer before traveling from city to city with her aunt and the band she manages, but moving to a place by herself was definitely making her nervous.
"Too bad dad isn't home." She said to her mother as they finished packing the car. "I'll explain everything to him when he gets home, but who knows? Maybe he'll show up at your place one a day and you can explain yourself." Her mother said as she continue to doubt the fact her daughter only had two boxes worth of stuff. When she had moved to college it was at least six. "You've got the address right?" "Yes, I've got it. It's you I'm worried about. How are you going to use a navigator on a bike?" "I really shouldn't have to, but I'll put in one ear piece to be sure." "I still wish you would let me ride it up to your place. I'm far less prone to getting lost than you are." "I'll be fine. Shall we go?" "Yes, we shall." Her mother always laughed a little when Plumb spoke like her father. That insufferable man who was on 'business' when their precious daughter was flying the coop. She would complain about him to herself the whole ride, and she would complain to him when he finally made it back, but all her griping was a proud woman's attempt to be grumpy lest she'll cry. Her one and only daughter was leaving, and she was going to have to come to terms with it. She would cry when her husband returned. He always had the annoying ability to get his wife's walls to come down. Perhaps, that is why she loved him so much, or perhaps because she loved him she was able to be honest with him. "It's nicer than my first apartment." Plumb's mother lied as she placed down the large box in the middle of the tiny apartment. "I love how I can roll out of bed and be in the kitchen immediately." Plumb laughed as she place the other down, "Where was your first apartment?" "Oh, clear on the other side of the country. I think the town was called..." The little family talked for hours as they unpacked, and they would talk for hours the next day to until it really was time for her mother to go. Plumb cried a little as she hugged her mother for she knew that her mother was trying her hardest not to cry, and she certainly didn't want to make her mother breakdown. Life would be so different now, but that's the trouble with life it is always changing. Perhaps, that is why we are so drawn to the familiar. 1/8/2026 0 Comments Plumb PuddingPlumb (yes, I know it's missed spelled) is the name I always use when I play games that have some sort of romance element to them. At some point, I began to wonder how it would work if all these Plumbs were the same person. As a result, I created this hybrid fanfiction. I'm not always going to make it really clear which game these are best off of, but feel free to guess in the comments.
